Roland Renfro, 64, of Clyde passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his home, following a lengthy illness. He was born, May 16, 1949 in Marshes Siding, KY the son of Claude H. and Dicie (Perry) Renfro.
Roland worked at Whirlpool and retired from their before working at Revere Plastics. He enjoyed attending auctions, NASCAR racing, collecting model cars, and sprint car racing.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed greatly by all, including his wife of 46 years, Yvonne (Newsome); children: Angela (Glenn Ellis) Renfro of Oak Harbor, Paul Renfro of Clyde, Missi (Ovid) Dearsman of Green Springs, Silas Renfro of Clyde, and Amber Forman of Clyde; grandchildren: Travis and Devin Dearsman of Green Springs, Windie and Willow Renfro of Green Springs, Alicianah Sauseda of Clyde, Uriyah Renfro of Clyde, Noah Donnersbach of Green Springs, and Tyler Ellis of Oak Harbor; 4 brothers: Harold Renfro, Noland (Cheryl) Renfro, Juan Renfro, and Kevin Renfro, all of Clyde; and sisters: Vivian (Ralph) Kiser of Clyde, Vera (Randy) Stalnaker of Bellevue, and Velma (Charles) Lee of Fremont.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Allen (Claude) Renfro and Vernon Renfro.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 2-7 p.m. at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery.
